WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SCIENCE OF MIND AND RELIGIOUS SCIENCE?
Science of Mind is the name of the denomination. Religious Science is the study of principles of life as defined in this denomination.
WHAT IS RELIGIOUS SCIENCE?
Religious Science combines religion, science and the philosophy of many great spiritual leaders, to create guidelines for living. Jesus said, "It is done unto you as you believe." Religious Science helps people develop belief systems that support their desired life styles.
WHAT IS TREATMENT?
"Treatment" is synonymous with Spiritual Mind Treatment. It is a logical five-step system of affirmative prayer that helps the individual have confidence in his/her ability to speak his/her word and get results.
Step 1 - Recognition - God is all there is.
Step 2 - Unification. I am made in the image and likeness of God.
Step 3 - Realization. Truth about me is...(purpose for treatment).
Step 4 - Thanksgiving. This is already so and I give thanks.
Step 5 - Release. I let go and Let God.
WHAT IS A PRACTITIONER?
A practitioner is a person continually striving to understand and apply Science of Mind principles (or teaching) to all aspects of daily living.
A licensed Practitioner has taken at least 340 hours of certificated class work and has passed a written test and an oral panel. He/She is trained to support others in meeting life's challenges by using the tools of this teaching. There is a fee for this service.
WHAT DOES THE SYMBOL MEAN?
The Science of Mind teaching symbol is a circle that denotes infinity. It is divided into three parts. The top third is Spirit or God. The middle third is the creative medium or the subconscious, which produces the effect, the bottom third of the circle.
The large V symbolizes God working through the creative medium to bring about the desired result. God is in all aspects of the demonstration.
